Nursery 2025-26
Our Nursery
At Northbrook Nursery, we’re all about helping your little one feel happy, confident, and ready to shine. We know that every child is unique, so we offer personalised care and fun, hands-on activities that bring out the best in them. Our friendly and experienced team creates a warm, welcoming space where your child will feel safe, valued, and excited to explore the world around them.
With a strong focus on early learning and social skills, we support every part of your child’s development—helping them build a great foundation for the years ahead. The Nursery and Reception classes work very closely together and staff work across both parts of our Early Years Unit, ensuring that transition from one to the other is seamless.
Open to children from 3 years old, the nursery is open during school term time, from 8.45am to 3.15pm and free places are available as either 15- or 30-hour packages. If you need wrap-around care to fit in with your working hours, Nursery children are welcome at our school Before and After-School clubs, from 7.30am until 5.55pm. Northbrook Nursery is where your child’s journey begins—with care, kindness, and a real love for learning.
Nursery Tours
Visiting the nursery is the best way to get a real feel for the warm, welcoming environment we’ve created at Northbrook. It gives you the chance to meet our caring staff, see the spaces where your child will play and learn, and ask any questions you might have. Every child is different, and a tour helps you see how our nurturing approach and personalised care can support your little one’s unique needs. It’s an important step in choosing the right start to their learning journey—and we’d love to show you what makes Northbrook special.

Important information:
We have slots in the school hall on Thursdays and Fridays; this is when we can do PE or other activities. Make sure your child is wearing appropriate clothing and footwear for PE on these days.
The children have the opportunity to borrow a school library book to share at home. These are changed on Fridays.
Every child walks to Leyland Library in a small group on a three-week rota. This happens on a Tuesday. The library staff read us a story and everyone has the opportunity to borrow a book if they have had a Lancashire Library membership form completed.
