Welcome to Year 6 at Northbrook Primary Academy
Mrs Spence welcomes you to Year 6 and what is your last and hopefully most successful year of your primary school journey!
This important and exciting year will be full of new responsibilities and opportunities, rewarding experiences and challenges, preparing you for your future, when you leave Northbrook and transition to high school.
Throughout the year there will be lots to look forward to; time with our buddies, welcoming and nurturing the next generation of Northbrook learners, celebrations, team events, performances, visits and visitors and of course our end-of-year activity week.
In Year 6, we celebrate perseverance and resilience; we never give up; we support, encourage and look after each other, we work hard but also have fun along the way!
Important Information
Our P.E. days are Wednesday and Thursday and full P.E. kit must be worn. Earrings must not be worn and removed before each session.

Year 6 Homework 2024-25:
Homework will be set on a Thursday to be completed by the following Thursday. In the first instance this will be paper based homework, and will reflect the learning we do in class, therefore children should be able to complete with a little support from you. The expectation is that children complete the homework tasks weekly and books are returned promptly by each Thursday, children are expected to present their homework well.
In addition to homework set, children must read at least 3 times per week, this can be a combination of a variety of books.
