South Ribble Borough Council is delivering a programme of holiday activities for children over the Christmas holidays.

The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) scheme aims to provide healthy food and enriching activities for children aged 5 to 16 who are eligible for free school meals.

There will be a variety of activities on offer at venues across the borough.

This provision:

  • Is free of charge
  • Offers fun activities and experiences
  • Includes a meal and refreshments
  • Families attending the HAF scheme this Christmas can also pick up a food parcel

How do I get the food parcel?

The Communities Team at South Ribble have been supporting children across the borough with additional food provision during the school holidays and this will continue this Christmas too.  The team provide food parcels that are to support families on Free School Meals or low income. It could not be easier to collect your parcels, as this time you will not receive a voucher from school. You can access yours whilst the children are enjoying the HAF programme activity.  Simply collect your parcel(s) from one of our friendly team, when you drop off or collect your child from the HAF activity.  It is one parcel per school aged child.  If you have any queries about food parcels please contact Sam on 01772 625590
